Beautiful views and room for gathering and privacy were the goals of this custom home and mountain retreat. This is one of a number of projects I have worked on with this family and understanding their requirements, I worked closely from concept to completion with the team of architects and builders.
I started in the planning stages with the architect, did all specification of materials and finishes and furnished the house. When I am this intimately involved with the process, the house takes a definitive shape and look in my head and decision making becomes quite fluid. The house was designed to have comfortable and inclusive gathering spaces while giving the different family members opportunity for privacy, and it works wonderfully!
